The creative movement program introduces young children to the fascinating world of dance! Children explore basic dance principles via imaginative images, hands-on objects, and interactive music. Children can also learn taking turns, sharing, and listening to instructions.
Jazz dancing incorporates strength, flexibility, and conditioning techniques, as well as progressions such as spins, kicks, and jumps. Dancers in a Jazz class learn numerous interesting and fashionable dance steps that may be utilized in any type of dance.
Hip Hop is a high-energy, fast-paced dance style in which the focus is less on formal technique and more on personal style. Classes begin with a warm-up meant to get the blood pumping and the muscles working hard, followed by students learning and polishing choreography.
Acrobatics is a combination of dance and gymnastics skills. Classes emphasize the development of power, mobility, balance, coordination, concentration, muscular control, and discipline.
Tap incorporates rhythm, syncopation, and music into its movement. Musicality, emotion, and improvisation are all valued.
